Annex A: Exception Rating to General Commodity Rates

EXCEPTION RATINGS TO GENERAL COMMODITY RATES – SPECIAL CLASS AND SERVICE RATES (Stated as percentages of general commodity rates named in this tariff):

SPECIAL CLASS/COMMODITY RATES:

  • DANGEROUS GOODS (HAZ) – calculated at 100% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge, plus class charges.
    Dangerous Goods (HAZ) class charges for shipments originating outside of the United States:

    • Class # 1: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $500.00 
    • Class # 2, 3 & 9: $75.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $75.00
    • Class # 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $200.00 

    Dangerous Goods (HAZ) class charges for shipments originating in Continental U.S.:

    • Class # 1: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $500.00
    • Class # 2, 3 & 9: $75.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $125.00
    • Class # 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum charge per shipment is $250.00

    Dangerous Goods (HAZ) class charges for shipments originating in MIA, FLL, IAH,JFK, ORD, SJU, STX, STT,TOV/EIS:

    • Class # 1: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum class charge per shipment is $500.00
    • Class # 2, 3 & 9: $75.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum class charge per shipment is $75.00
    • Class # 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: $100.00 per class and/or UN number, minimum class charge per shipment is $200.00
  • EXCESS BAGGAGE (EXB) – calculated at 160% of the applicable general commodity code rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • HUMAN REMAINS (HUM) – calculated at 250% of the applicable 1 kilogram general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • LIVE ANIMALS (ALI) – calculated at 250% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • PALLETIZED EXCESS BAGGAGE (EXBP) – calculated at 160% of the applicable general commodity code rate and/or minimum shipping charge. Pallet Rate based on minimum of 2,000 kgs.
  • PERISHABLE CARGO (PER) – calculated at 100% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • VALUABLE CARGO (VAL) – calculated at 250% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • PHARMACEUTICALS (PIL) – calculated at 150% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.

SPECIAL SERVICE/PRODUCT RATES:

  • AV7 – USPS,  based on negotiated contract rates.
  • ALI – Live Animals, based on shipment specific negotiated rates.
  • BAR – Barrel rates are based on a flat rate per barrel and over pivot charge.
  • BAX – Barrel Express rates are based on a flat rate per barrel and over pivot charge.
  • CCX – Courier Express, calculated at 150% of applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • COU – Courier rates. Rate priced by destination, flat fee, per pound and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • DCO – D-Container rates are based on a flat rate per d-container (58x41x45) and over pivot charge.
  • DCOX – D-Container Express rates are based on a flat rate per d-container (58x41x45) and over pivot charge.
  • DOMF – Domestic Freight, based on shipment specific negotiated rates.
  • ECO – E-Container rates are based on a flat rate per e-container (41x29x26) and over pivot charge.
  • ECOX – E-Contain Express rates are based on a flat rate per e-container (41x29x26) and over pivot charge.
  • GCX- First Available boarding priority. Calculated at 150% of the applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • GP – Seasonal Promotional Rates. Rate priced by destination, flat fee, per pound and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • HAX – Hazmat Express, First Available boarding priority. Calculated at 150% of applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • HAE – Hazmat Explosive, based on shipment specific negotiated rates.
  • LD – Container Rates. Based on a per container rate, over pivot charge and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • PCX – Perishable Express, calculated at 150% of applicable general commodity rate and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • PLT – Pallet Rates. Based on a per pallet rate over pivot charge and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • RXS – First available boarding priority with 2 hours of cut-off time before departure in MIA. Calculated at 250% of the 1kg general tariff rate with a starting minimum of $520.00 plus applicable surcharges.
  • SA – Seasonal Promotional Rates. Rate priced by destination, flat fee, per pound and/or minimum shipping charge.
  • SPS/SP1 – Airport to Airport rates. Small Package rates priced by destination, flat fee per weight break.
  • SPX – Airport to Airport rates. Small Package Express rates priced by destination, flat fee per weight break.
  • UPS – PO Box shipment rates. Rate priced by destination, flat fee, per pound and/or minimum shipping charge.

ACCESSORIALS:

All shipments may be subject to accessorial charges, local and government fees/duties and/or brokerage charges.

  • Amerijet’s U.S. Domestic and International origin accessorial charges are published on Amerijet’s website. Local charges and Terminal Fees are set by the origin/destination station.  The local charges/terminal fees may vary based on origin and destination.  For information ref. these charges, please contact the origin/destination Amerijet Office/Stations
  • Government fees and duties are set by the local government.  The charges may vary based on origin and destination.  For information ref. these charges, please contact the origin/destination government agencies.

CUSTOMS BROKERAGE:

Customs Brokerage Services refers to preparing the appropriate customs documentation and presenting the shipment for clearance to the local customs authority.

Amerijet’s customs brokerage fee does not include customs duties, government fee/taxes and/or any other local charges
