Director of Flight Operations

Captain Patrick Loftus joined Amerijet in October 2020 as Director of Flight Operations, with responsibility for the management of the worldwide daily flight operations, policies, procedures and Federal Aviation Regulation compliance. Patrick will oversee the Operations Control Center, chief pilots’ office, pilots’ scheduling and training and our team of load masters.

Currently, with over 12,000 hours of flight experience, Patrick started his flying career in Ireland in 1990 and has held positions at Ryan International airlines, USA 3000 Airlines and Eirjet.

Patrick joined Virgin America in 2006 as a captain and check airman on the A320 as one of the initial cadre of pilots hired to acquire the airline’s certification.

After their merger, Patrick was also part of the team responsible for achieving the single operating certificate between Virgin America and Alaska Airlines.

His last role at Alaska Airlines/Virgin America prior to joining Amerijet was Base Chief Pilot.

Patrick currently lives in New York with his wife Jordan and their two children, McKenzie and Ben.
