After the September 11th terrorist attack, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration set out to improve security measures for air-cargo transportation. Specific directives of the TSA and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now require any individual or business wanting to ship items weighing over 16 ounces via passenger air carriers to become a "Known Shipper."

You can request Known Shipper designation from Amerijet after you have sent three shipments via Amerijet. To make your request, complete a Known Shipper Application and e-mail or fax it to your local Amerijet sales office.

Once you are approved as a Known Shipper, we can ship your packages or freight weighing over 16 ounces on any passenger air carrier.

This procedure applies only to shipments originating on an Amerijet Air Waybill in the United States.
