Amerijet International, Inc., is one of the few air-cargo carriers qualified to transport hazardous material – (dangerous goods).
In addition to explosives, corrosive chemicals, and other obviously dangerous goods, hazardous materials include everyday items you might not suspect, such as motorcycle batteries and hair spray.
Lists of such goods are published in the U.S. Department of Transportation Hazardous Material Regulations CFR 49 and by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Federal law requires everyone who is shipping hazardous material containing dangerous goods to properly declare, identify, package, mark, label, and document the shipment. Failure to follow these U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines can result in penalties.
Our on-staff team of certified hazardous-material agents can assist you with professional packing to ensure that your shipment of hazardous materials complies with all U.S. laws and regulations governing transportation of hazardous material. Our hazmat agents also can help you document your shipment and then certify that the documentation is correct.
