CHICAGO, IL, July 13, 2005 – Global cargo transportation
provider Amerijet International, Inc. has relocated and expanded
its Midwest Regional Office to a full-service, multi-modal
cargo handling facility just outside of the airport grounds,
announced Jess Prieto, Amerijet’s Midwest Regional Manager.
The facility, located at 500 Crossen Avenue, provides a total
of 10,000 square feet of dedicated space, comprising offices,
customer service and cargo receiving areas, warehouse space,
two dock-height ramps and one drive-in ramp.
“This expanded facility allows us to provide total
transportation solutions to our customers,” said Prieto.
“We are a single-source shipping solution, offering
scheduled air and ocean service, along with appropriate ground
and support services to move all types of cargo, including
perishables, livestock, mechanical equipment of all sizes,
and hazardous materials. We also offer local pick-up and delivery
throughout our region, as well as custom crating and packing
services, along with warehousing and freight consolidation
services.”
Amerijet has hired two additional employees, for a total
of seven in the office, including Mitchell Estrada, a full-time
ocean transportation expert. Amerijet’s Midwest Regional
Office manages cargo moving to and from 13 U.S. states, including
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota,
Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Hours of operation at the new facility are from 7:00 a.m.
– 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. –
