PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD– Amerijet International today announced that with effect from Monday 13th September 2004 it will assume full responsibility and Management over its Warehouse and Office Complex located at the Piarco International Airport. Amerijet is a familiar name to the local business community, having operated in Trinidad and Tobago since 1990, under local agent representation. This however will be the first time that the Airline will have direct control of the facility and direct relationships with its many clients locally.

Amerijet’s facility, located just East of the old Tobago Terminal on the South side of the Piarco International Airport, provides worldwide all-cargo transportation and logistics services. Amerijet ships all kinds and sizes of freight, even including perishables, live animals and hazardous materials.

“Amerijet has been a major freight operator in Trinidad and Tobago for many years, and has very strong business relationships here,” said Simon Pantin, Director of International Operations. “Beyond our shores, Amerijet is probably the most well known all-cargo company throughout the Caribbean, with a 30-year history and one of the most comprehensive transportation systems within and beyond the region. Amerijet also offers a reliable scheduled service, which is a valuable logistics tool for our customers.”

Under the new Management arrangement, Amerijet International, via its locally registered company, Amerijet Caribbean Express, will employ approximately twenty (20) staff members at the Piarco location. The local phone number is (868) 669-3221; the fax number is (868) 669-2003. Customers can find helpful shipping information anytime on the company’s web site at www.amerijet.com.
