FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Ft. Lauderdale-based Amerijet
International has completed the purchase of two Boeing Super-27
aircraft from Willis Lease Finance Corporation. The purchase
increases Amerijet’s fleet of aircraft to a total of
eight jets. Terms of the purchase were undisclosed.
According to Pamela Rollins, Amerijet’s Vice President
of Business Development, the two new jets are scheduled to
begin service by September 2004.
“These jets add depth and diversity to our fleet,”
Rollins said. “They also enable us to open up certain
additional Latin American routes we have been evaluating.”
Willis Lease Finance Corporation (NASDAQ: WLFC), based in
Sausalito, California, primarily leases spare commercial aircraft
engines, parts, and aircraft to commercial airlines, aircraft
engine manufacturers and maintenance, repair and overhaul
providers. The company reports assets of more than $551million.
